  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp tamari soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 pinch + 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1 1/4 lbs ground chicken
  • 1/2 tsp Szechuan pepper
  • 1/2 tsp pandan powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 red onion
  • 1/2 scallion
  • 1 green cabbage

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cabbage leaves by blanching them in boiling water for 30 seconds until softened. Let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, peanut butter, sriracha sauce, ginger garlic paste, tamari soy sauce, rice vinegar, cilantro, olive oil, salt, Szechuan pepper, optional pandan powder and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
  3. Take one cabbage leaf and place a tablespoon of filling in the center. Fold in sides and roll tightly.
  4. Cook the dumplings by either steaming them in a steamer basket for about 15 minutes or pan-frying them in sesame oil until golden brown before adding water to steam.
