  • 16 ounces ground turkey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 14 ounces pizza sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup Italian cheese blend
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground turkey, eggs, salt, pepper, onion powder, and Parmesan cheese until just mixed.
  3. 3. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  4. 4. In a frying pan over high heat, add oil and sear the meatballs until browned on one or two sides.
  5. 5. In the same pan, add tomato paste and cook briefly before stirring in pizza sauce and Italian cheese blend.
  6. 6. Return meatballs to the sauce mixture and transfer everything to a baking dish.
  7. 7. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake uncovered for 20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
