  • Breakfast sausage (chicken or turkey)
  • Cream cheese
  • Heavy cream
  • Almond flour
  • Eggs
  • 1/4 cup broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp COLD Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, cook chicken or turkey sausage until browned. Set aside.
  2. Add cream cheese and heavy cream to the pan, whisking until combined and heated through (about 5 minutes).
  3. Stir the cooked sausage back into the gravy mixture, whisking for another 2-3 minutes until thickened. If too thick, add broth gradually.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a muffin pan.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour and baking powder; mix in salt, garlic powder, and chili powder.
  6. Cut cold butter into the dry mixture until crumbly.
  7. Whip egg whites in a separate bowl until fluffy; gently fold these into the flour mixture.
  8. Scoop biscuit dough into the muffin pan slots (about eight portions) and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
