  • 1 egg white
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons corn starch (for the sauce)

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, corn starch, baking powder, egg white, and water to make the batter.
  2. Coat the chicken strips in the batter.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan to 350°F. Fry chicken strips in batches until golden and cooked through (about 5 minutes per batch). Drain on paper towels.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together sauce ingredients: canola oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, honey, corn starch, and water.
  5. Heat the sauce mixture in a frying pan over medium heat until boiling and thickened.
