  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil

  • 8 oz cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • ¼ cup granulated white sugar (for cream cheese layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cream cheese layer)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for cream cheese layer)
  • orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8 x 8 baking dish with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a bowl, mix together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. In another bowl, whisk eggs, oil, and vanilla extract until combined. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients gently.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix until well-combined. Stir in orange food coloring until desired shade is reached.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Add dollops of the cream cheese mixture on top and then layer with remaining brownie batter. Gently swirl together using a knife or skewer.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
