  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 3 T taco seasoning
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup chunky salsa
  • 1 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9" pie pan.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked; drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and transfer the mixture to the greased pie pan.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, eggs, salsa, garlic salt, black pepper, and 1 cup of cheese until smooth.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the beef in the pie pan and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown on top and set in the center.
  7. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing.
