  • 8 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it froth for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a stand mixer bowl. Add the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  3. Incorporate softened butter gradually while kneading.
  4. Allow dough to rise in a warm place until doubled (about 30 minutes).
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and cinnamon on top.
  6. Roll tightly and cut into pieces. Let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Prepare topping sauce by combining melted butter, brown sugar, heavy cream, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over low heat.
  8. Assemble buns in a greased baking pan with the topping sauce at the bottom and chopped pecans sprinkled on top.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
